Patient Access
Repeat Prescriptions
Non-urgent advice: Please note
We do not take prescription request over the the telephone.
To order your repeat medication, please send or post your repeat slip (right hand side of your prescription) in the prescription post box (located at the main entrance). Our post box is available 24 hours.
Patients can also order online by registering for EMIS Access. Please contact a member of our Reception team for information on how to register for this service.
You should request your repeat prescription 7-10 days before you are due to run out.
It takes 5 working days from your initial prescription request for your medications to be ready for collection at your nominated pharmacy-
- 3 days for the surgery to process your prescription
- 2 days for your prescription to be received and processed by your pharmacy.
If you have any queries regarding your prescription then you should contact your nominated pharmacy in the first instance. We are unable to check on the status of your prescription before 5 days and unless your have checked with the pharmacy first.
If you have not already done so, please let us know which pharmacy you would like us to send your prescription to. You can do this by writing it on your repeat slip or if you use Patient Access you can add this information to the message box at the bottom of the form.
